The No. 5 LSU Tigers pass a day after an impressive 4-0 start of the season and now they will receive Utah State at Tiger Stadium on Saturday.
The Aggies enter the game with a winning series of three games since they dropped the season opener against Wake Forest after bouncing back with wins at Stony Brook, San Diego State and Colorado State.
Although the two programs met only twice before, most recently in 2001, the Saturday game will be a bit of a reunion for different members of the LSU coaching staff.
Defensive coordinator Dave Aranda, security coach Bill Busch and defensive back coach Corey Raymond spent time at the Utah State staff under head coach Gary Andersen, who returned to the program after the short season in Wisconsin and Oregon State.
On Monday, Andersen, along with tight transfer graduate end Caleb Repp and senior defensive back Cameron Haney, met the media to see a preview of the upcoming matchup with the Tigers, scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. CT and will be broadcast on SEC Network.
