There are different ways to consume papaya leaf juice.
1. Juice It
If you have a juicer, you can easily insert the (cleaned) leaves through your juicer to extract the juice. A chew press makes the job the best. Juice and store a small bottle of juice in the refrigerator for consumption within 4-5 days.
If you don't have a juicer, a blender is enough, but you need to do a little more work. Crush about 10 leaves and put them in your blender with a cup of pure drinking water. Mix the leaves and squeeze the juice with a cheese or muslin.
Caution: Papaya leaf juice is terribly bitter and extremely powerful. Start with just one tablespoon per day and work up to two tablespoons per day if you use it for therapeutic purposes. Drink it decently. Do NOT drink water (or other liquids) immediately afterwards to let the concentrated juice do its miracle.
How much papaya juice should I take? Only about 50 ml (less than 2 grams) of the juice per day is sufficient to increase the platelet count.
For health maintenance, consume only one tablespoon of papaya juice per day due to its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
2. Make a tea infusion
Use about 3-5 medium to large leaves up to about two liters of water (about two liters). Boil the leaves in the water until it is reduced to about half the amount. Let it cool, discard the leaves and consume in small doses if necessary. The tea can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days, but drink it as fresh as possible to take advantage of the nutrients.
3. Consume the leaf extract
If you don't have access to papaya leaves where you live, the next best option is to use papaya leaf extracts.
