Did you know that drinking lemon-ginger-turmeric tea is a healthy, natural way to detoxify your liver and increase your immunity?
Your liver is responsible for a wide variety of functions. Almost everything you eat goes through your liver. Without a healthy liver you would have trouble receiving nutrients and vitamins from the food you eat and you could even come across clogged arteries because your liver is filtering blood.
Over time, an accumulation of toxins can cause your liver to become less effective in performing its work. That is why even occasional liver detoxification can do so much. This will give your digestive system a kickstart and make you less susceptible to colds, sore throats, seasonal allergies, bowel and digestive problems.
Protect your liver
Although this tea will help detoxify your liver, you should also consider avoiding certain foods to protect your liver. Try to reduce your sugar and sodium intake. A high consumption of sodium or sugar can cause a lot of stress on the liver, making it work harder than it should.
The same applies to fats. Try to ensure that your total fat intake is less than 30 percent of your total calories for the day. By using less sugar, sodium and fats, you prevent that you accumulate toxic substances, so you have to detox your liver first.
Making changes to your daily lifestyle is not overly difficult if you do it step by step. Start by drinking this tea every morning for several mornings, while you start cutting back on sugar, sodium and fats in processed foods. Include more fresh products in your diet and stay hydrated.
Recipe for lemon-ginger-turmeric
Most detox drinks for your liver contain a combination of ingredients that can help remove toxins and cleanse your system. Drinking lemon-ginger-turmeric tea is one of my favorite ways to start this process.
Making your own lemon-ginger-turmeric tea naturally cleanses and detoxifies your liver. Use the following recipe to make this healthy tea. If possible, try to find fresh turmeric.
- 1½ cups of filtered drinking water
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated turmeric (or ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder)
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger root (or ½ teaspoon of ginger powder)
- ½ lemon (pressed with zest)
- 2 to 3 turns of fresh black pepper
- 1 tablespoon raw honey or as desired
Directions for making your liver Detox tea
To make your tea, combine the turmeric, ginger and the filtered water in a pan. Turn the heat to medium and let it simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes. Do not boil the mixture. Strain the hot liquid and pour into a cup or mug. Stir in the lemon juice and honey. Your tea is now ready to drink.
If you do not use medication, you can safely drink this drink daily. The best time to drink this tea is & # 39; in the morning. Some people prefer to drink it & # 39; in the morning before eating, others like to drink it with food. Both times are great and both work well. To enjoy!
